Autumn League #3: Regional Park Ballincollig TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 10th

The third event in the Cork Orienteering Club Autumn League will take place on Tuesday September 10th at the Western end of the Regional Park Ballincollig.

The park extends over one and half miles on the south bank of the river Lee and includes sports fields, woods and meadows. The parkland area is very flat and has a good arrangement of large paths making the area buggy friendly. Interesting route choice is provided by the limited number of crossing points along the canals and millraces which run throughout the park. No doubt a building or ruin will be one of your control sites due to the very large number of these dotted right throughout the park.

Starts will be from 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Explorer course will be 3.4km and this week it will introduce the idea of colours.
Advanced course will be a score format.

Cafe Chico (www.cafechico.ie) will remain open at the western car park for the duration of the event. After your run, why not treat yourself to some fresh tea, coffee, hot chocolate or home-made cake, and chat about your route choices with your fellow competitors.

Hope to see you there,

Elaine
