Christmas Orienteering at Fota House and Gardens FRIDAY 27TH DECEMBER

Hi All,

Why not join us next Friday 27th December at Fota House and Gardens for some festive orienteering fun!

The event will be "score" format - where competitors will have to punch as many controls as possible within the time limit.


There will be 25 controls located in and around Fota House and Gardens and competitors will have 40 minutes to visit as many of these as they can.

There will be a 5 points bonus for each minute under the 40 minutes provided you have got all of the 25 controls. 

A penalty of 10 points will apply for every minute over the 40 minutes no matter how many controls you get.

There will be a Mass Start at 12 noon at the upper car park in Fota.

Registration will be open from 11:30am so please arrive in good time to register ahead of the group start. All proceeds from this years event will go to Marymount Hospice. 

Controls will be collected 1:30pm .
