Thanks to all who came to Glengarra last Sunday for the third round of this year's Munster League. A smallish turnout of 60 orienteers made the "trip to Tipp" and were very pleased with the nice surroundings of this sheltered forest. We were delighted to welcome a small band of Dublin based orienteers who combined a trip to the Ballyhoura's for mountain biking and our event over the St. Patricks weekend. Competition was keenest on the Blue & Green courses, Paul Keville of Setanta orienteers had just 1 minute to spare over Andrew Pim from WatO with a good run by Richard Latimer of BOC putting him in 3rd position ahead of former IOA chairman Dave Weston. On the Green course, CorkO's Niamh Corbett had less than a minute to spare over former Olympian Liam O'Brien with fellow clubmate Jim Callanan taking third slot a further 10 minutes behind. Brian Corbett took the honours on the 8.7km Brown course ahead of WatO's Gints Plaudis with Donal Murphy of BOC taking 3rd position. Full Results & Split Times here: Thanks to the Donal Burke & Danny O'Hare for helping on the day and huge thanks to Robert O'Connor for controlling and ensuring that all aspects of the event were up to scratch.
