Dear all,

We hope you can join us for the finale of the 2016 Munster League at Kilworth Camp next Sunday morning. This popular army training area offers a variety of terrain that should challenge all orienteers - from intricate networks of earth walls with abundant water features to fast open moorland running. Cork Orienteering Club is very grateful to the Department of Defence for once again allowing us to run this event on their land.

This area will be familiar to anyone who took part in the 2015 Munster Championships. The start will be situated approximately 2km from Exit 13 off the M8 motorway. From Exit 13, travel uphill on the R639 towards Fermoy, and take a left turn for the army camp when you pass the Gloccamaura Inn.

11am - 1pm
Courses will close at 2.30pm

Orange: 2.2km, 50m climb, 8 controls
Red (TD2): 3.4km, 70m climb, 12 controls
Light Green: 4.8km, 90m climb, 11 controls
Green: 5.9km, 110m climb, 12 controls
Blue: 7.6km, 160m climb, 14 controls
Brown: 8.8km, 175m climb, 18 controls

Danny O'Hare is the Munster League co-ordinator and he will be busy tabulating the results as the contenders for the podium battle it out on Sunday. If you are in the running for a prize, why not stick around for the prize-giving? Further details here:

Once again Rosemarie O'Sullivan-Hourihan will have an indoor Christmas display of baked goods on sale, with proceeds going to the Irish Junior Squad. This stall really added a festive atmosphere to last year's MOC and we encourage you come along, indulge your senses and give generously!

Please contact us via our website or our Facebook page should you have any enquiries.

Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday,
Rob McEvoy, Cork Orienteers
