Summer League #1: Farran Forest Park Event Info

As previously mentioned, 2012 league kicks off next Tuesday evening, in the familiar surroundings of Farran Woods, to give you a comfortable, feel-good positive start ! Lets hope there is feel-good weather too ! Short Course is 2.4k, 'buggy friendly', 9 controls. Text descriptions. Long Course is 4.1k, not so buggy friendly, 22 controls. IOA descriptions.  As part of the Long Course (Park-O), there will be 2 Butterfly wings, i.e. where 1 control will act as a start base, wherein a small loop of controls will be visited before returning to the base control again. So, the control codes don't lie ! All maps are pre-marked, including control descriptions. SI electronic cards will be used, and available for hire. For directions, from Cork City, head west towards Macroom, turn right at Podsie O'Mahonys/ Dan Sheehans Pub, 1 mile from end of Ballincollig by-pass, follow signs for National Rowing Centre.  Coillte Barrier will be open from 1630 - 1930hrs. Course open from 1730-1930hrs.
