Urban Series #2: Blackrock Urban O Sunday JANUARY 8TH

Cork Orienteering Club invite you to join us on SUNDAY JANUARY 8TH for the second event in our Urban Series at Blackrock/Marina. The event will start at the Atlantic Pond adjacent to Pairc Ui Chaoimh So be sure to add this date to your 2023 orienteering diaries. At this event competitors will be navigating their way around the streets, parks and estates in the Blackrock area of Cork City. There will be courses to suit all levels of orienteering experience as well as all ages and fitness levels. COURSE INFORMATION There will be three courses on offer on the day: Long Course         6.2km Medium Course    3km Short Course        1.5km NOTE "MEDIUM" AND "LONG" COURSES WILL INVOLVE RUNNING ALONG AND CROSSING ROADS WITH LIVE TRAFFIC.         *** COMPETITORS ARE TO TAKE ALL DUE CARE ON PUBLIC ROADS.**** Private gardens and other private areas are marked Olive green on the map and are designated "Area with forbidden access". Please respect all private property and do not enter these areas. START TIMES Competitors can start anytime from 11am to 1pm.
