We in CorkO are hard at work making sure that this year's Shamrock has great orienteering on our best terrain, and we're also going to make this year's event a fun, sociable weekend.
To achieve this goal, we plan to hold two nights of entertainment in our event centre at the Killarney Race course.
On the Saturday night (May 30th) we will host the Shamrock Sessions. On the Sunday night we will hold a barbeque to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first Irish orienteering event, and the 20th anniversary of the first Shamrock.
The Shamrock Sessions will have discussions on their routes by top irish and international orienteers, mixed in with a few short 15-minute talks on orienteering topics.
Prizes from the Irish Sprint-O Champs will also be awarded at the Shamrock Sessions.
