Kerry Orienteering Club will be organising the Inaugural Irish Sprint Orienteering Championships in
conjunction with the Shamrock O-Ringen 2009.
The event will be held on a new and revised map of Ross Island with parking at Ross Castle (approximately 1km from the Shamrock O-Ringen event centre).
Competitive starts will be from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. Non-competitive runs will be available from 5pm.
The courses will be a combination of fine navigation with complex contour/rock/track features and medium running through open woodland terrain.
There will be four courses on offer:
- Course A: 3.2 km - M21E, M35, M20
- Course B: 2.8 km - W21E, W20, W35, M40, M45, M18
- Course C: 2.2 km - W18, W40, W45, M/W 16,50
- Course D: 1.5 km - M/W 12,14 M/W 55,60,65

Entry and registration at the Shamrock Event Centre in Killarney Racecourse up to 7pm, approx 1km from Sprint-O parking area

10Eur/7Eur and 20Eur for family
Start Times:
Mass Start at 8pm for all competitors (non competitive runs from 5pm)
Winning Times:
20 minutes or less on each course
