Déise Day Weekend

Waterford Viking 1100 weekend of orienteering

Come and visit the sunny southeast and participate in a range of different events hosted by Waterford Orienteering Club.

Founded by the Vikings in 914, Waterford is Ireland’s oldest city and this year we celebrate its 1100th anniversary. Waterford city has undergone major regeneration over the past three years, with the development of the Viking Triangle, the opening of the House of Waterford Crystal, and the relocation of the award winning Waterford Museum of Treasures into three uniquely historic sites: the Bishop’s Palace, Medieval Museum and Reginald’s Tower. The urban race will give you a good flavour of the area. Take a visit afterwards to fully appreciate the history.EVENT DETAILS:
