League Format

There will be two courses each evening, on pre-marked maps. In general, the Short course will be < 2.5km and the Long course < 5.5km.

Our events are fun, suitable for all the family, young and old, and irrespective of fitness levels!

To complete the league, you must complete 6 from the first 10 events. As always, there will be a memento for all league finishers. At the end of the league, we'll have prizes for the best individuals. Prizegiving night will be in Ballincollig Regional Park on July 17th.

Team League

If you wish, you can register with a group of friends and compete together as a team over the course of the summer. The best 3 scores from your team will count at each event. Your team can be as few as 3 people or as many as you like - though we suggest a maximum of 5 or 6 people.

Of course, if you run as part of a team, you are still eligible to compete in the individual league (and you will get an individual memento when you complete 6 events!).

Team registrations will take place at the opening league event in Farran. Alternatively, you can fill out the form on the Team Registration page. If you don't have enough people to make up a team, you can still register and we can group you together into a team with other orienteers.

Registered teams will be listed on this website.

Entry Fees

Our recession-busting 2009 prices have not changed this year:

Adult: €5

Junior: €3

Family: €10

Student/OAP/Unwaged: €3

SI Card hire: €2

Brand new SI Cards will be available for purchase at each event for €35 (€30 for Cork-O members). We are encouraging all our regular orienteers to invest in an SI card for the summer as it is an investment for many years to come.
