The 10th Annual Cliona Callanan Memorial Orienteering Event takes place on Sunday 13th of September, 2015, in the beautiful surrounds of Doneraile Park. With courses to suit all the family and no orienteering experience necessary, it's a great opportunity to sample this exciting sport at this very popular venue. You can run, jog or just stroll along any of the four courses on offer. All proceeds are in aid of the Cork Children's Leukaemia Association.So we hope you will come along and take advantage of the opportunity to experience this magnificent setting and sample the wonderful parkland terrain. It is sure to be a fun day and with numerous picnic tables and a large children's playground it caters well for families and offers plenty of post run entertainment.

On the Paths (Beginners) 2.2km, 7controls
Off the Paths (Improvers) 3.1km, 9 controls
Short Technical : 4.1km, 13 controls
Long Technical : 6.5km, 14 control

REGISTRATION
As we can no longer collect money inside the Park, Registration and Donations to the Leukaemia Association will be outside the usual Entrance gate. Please park first to avoid any traffic congestion at the gate.The overflow Parking area just inside the entrance gate on the left as you drive in, is probably the handiest place to park as it is very close to Registration. Starts/Finish/ Download are located this year, just north of this Overflow Park, beside the Lodge inside the majestic original entrance to the Park.

DIRECTIONS:
Doneraile Park is a short 45 minute drive from Blackpool. Travel north to Malllow and on to NewtwopotHouse, on the main Cork - Limerick Road and turn right. Doneraile is located on the R581 regional road 8 km east of the N20. It is about 12 km north of Mallow town. Doneraile Parkis situated on the Northern edge of Doneraile town. Drive straight through the pretty Georgian village, across the Awbeg river, a branch of the Blackwater and the Park entrance is located on your right (opposite the entrance to the local Golf Club and Nagle/Rice secondary school).

CORKO AGM
Following the event the AGM of Cork Orienteering Club will take place at 1:30pm in the back room at the tearooms in Doneraile Park. We would encourage all members to attend and new members are very welcome to come along too.
