Ballyannon - Fun Relays Saturday 20th September

The next CorkO event will take place at Ballyannon Wood in Midleton on this coming SATURDAY 20th September.

We are organising a fun relay event (similar to the last Summer League event in Farran, except we won't have a BBQ!).  The format of the event will be teams of two competitors running 4 short courses, with each person running two short legs.  All courses are roughly the same length just 2.0km so each competitor will run 4.0km in total.  This promises to be a good training workout on Saturday morning and we would encourage all our Summer & Autumn League finishers to give it a lash.

You do not need to arrive with a partner but do bring your friends and please just turn up. Teams will be allocated once all competitors are confirmed at registration and we will try our best to match teams so everyone is in with a chance.

COURSE INFO

A2, B2, C2, D2 all approximately 2.0km each with 10C.

Be advised that full leg cover is recommended.

START TIMES

Registration car will be open at the parking area from 10.30 - 11.00 sharp.      Entry just €2 per competitor.....

Once all competitors are confirmed at 11.00am, teams will be drawn/allocated and everyone should then walk/jog the short distance to the entrance of the wood and follow tapes to assembly/start area.  SI Cards will be given out at the start & explanation of teams/handover will then begin and we hope to have the 1st leg runners start off at 11.30am.

DIRECTIONS

Coming from Cork:

Take the Midleton exit off the N25, Continue to the first set of traffic lights here turn right at the lights and cross over the flyover as if you were heading back to Cork, take the first exit at the roundabout and almost immediately take the next left onto the private road.

Park where the marshals indicate.

Coming from the East:

Go straight through the Midleton roundabout on the N25. Turn left at the Midleton flyover exit and take the second exit from the roundabout. Proceed as above.
