The Ninth Annual Cliona Callanan Memorial Orienteering Event will take place this Sunday September 28th at Doneraile Forest Park (R603076).The Callanan family and friends invite you all to enjoy the beautiful and majestic surroundings of Doneraile Park. Make a day of it with a great playground for the kids and charming tea rooms in the kitchens of historic Doneraile Court.All proceeds from this event will go to The Cork Children's Leukaemia Association.Your support will be greatly appreciated.This event also incorporates Round 1 of the Cork League.
SI punching will be used on the day.
COURSE INFO:
Beginners (Yellow), 1.7km, 10 controls.
Improvers (Red), 3.1km, 14 controls.
Short Technical (Green), 5.1km, 19 controls.
Long Technical (Blue), 7.9km, 22 controls.
START TIMES:
Competitors can start any time from 10am to 1pm.
DIRECTIONS:
Doneraile Park is a short 45 minute drive from Blackpool. Travel north to Malllow and on to NewtwopotHouse, on the main Cork - Limerick Road and turn right. Doneraile is located on the R581 regional road 8 km east of the N20. It is about 12 km north of Mallow town. Doneraile Park is situated on the Northern edge of Doneraile town it is on the River Awbeg, a branch of the Blackwater. The entrance to the park is located at the northern end of the village on the right hand side, opposite the entrance to the local golf club and Nagle/Rice secondary school.Â

There is a large car park in the park.
