Well done to all the CorkO members who participated in the Irish Orienteering Championships over the May Bank holiday weekend in counties Fermanagh, Cavan and Tyrone.

All competitors got to enjoy four fantastic days of fine weather and challenging orienteering. We are hugely grateful to Fermanagh Orienteers (FERMO) and all those who assisted them in planning, organising and staging these events and making the weekend such a great success.

CorkO had 30+ members in action over the weekend and lots of members got to don their podium jackets at the prize giving ceremonies over the course of the weekend. We are so proud of you all and delighted to see you wear the CorkO colours with pride.

Check out the full list below for all the CorkO champions and podium finisher over the Sprint, Middle Distance, Classic Distance and Relay races.

Special mention must go to Niamh Corbett and Shane Lynch who were both crowned the Irish Champions on the 21E class. Huge congrats also to Bill Edwards who did the triple and was crowned Champion in the Sprint, Middle and Classic Races in the M50 class.

There was great excitement in Parkanaur on Monday morning for the mass starts of the Relay Championships and we were thrilled when the CorkO Rebel Reds Open Premier team crossed the finish line first to take the Championship title following a very competitive race. They were cheered on throughout the race by their fellow club mates.

Tir Navar Holiday village in Derrygonnelly proved a great base for team CorkO over the weekend and thanks to Liam and Amy for the warm welcome. A very enjoyable weekend was had by all.
