Irish Orienteering Championships 2017

The 2017 Irish Orienteering Championships will take place on the May bank holiday weekend near Oughterard, Co. Galway. Western Eagles Galway Orienteers (WEGO) will be hosting this year's event and have planned three days of championship action on challenging terrain for us all to enjoy.

The full orienteering program for those who venture west for the May Bank holiday weekend includes:

Day 1 Sat 29th April Starts 1600hrs – 1800hrs Middle Distance Event – Leim Oirthear

Day 2 Sun 30th April Starts 1100hrs – 1400hrs Long Distance Event – Sruth an Iolra and Log an Chaortain

Day 3 Mon 1st May Mass Starts from 1000hrs Team Relay Event – Doire Iochtair

There are already 20+ CorkO members on the start list. So if you are planning on joining your club mates at this championship event be sure to get your entry in soon as the final closing date is fast approaching.

You can enter online at Fabian4. Final closing date for individual races is Sunday 9th April 2017.

We will also be looking to recruit members for some CorkO relay teams.
