Off-the-Paths Orienteering Training Day SATURDAY 15th September

Interested in improving your orienteering skills? Then why not sign up for our "Off-the-paths" training day. The training is open to all, you don't need to be a member to attend.Cork Orienteering Club will be holding our 'Off the Paths Orienteering' Orienteering Skills Coaching Event on Saturday 15th September in Farran Forest Park, Cork.

The target audience for this event is people who have done a few Summer Orienteering events and New people are especially welcome.

You don't have to be a CorkO member to attend. We plan to have groups for adult beginners and groups for families. Families and Children are especially welcome.

Lunch and tea and coffee will be provided in what is a very sociable day out. Cost is €5 per person for members and €10 per person for non-members (covering food, maps etc).

Plan for the day is:

10.30:           Meet in the National rowing center cafe for tea coffee and scones

11-13:           Practice map techniques with our enthusiastic coaches

13-14:           Lunch

14-15.30:       More practice

15.30 -16.30:  A short course to practice what you've learned

We guarantee that it will increase your enjoyment of orienteering events. Please contact our club coach Danny O'Hare by Thursday September 13th if you plan to attend so he can organise enough coaches, lunches and maps for all.
