Orienteering at Kilworth Camp, Sunday 15th December

All welcome, including beginners. Details below:

The final Munster league event for 2013 will be held on Kilworth ranges - 15/12/13.

Course details to follow.

Normal Munster league criteria - Brown to Yellow.

Registration will be in the building near No 5 Range - signposted from the M8

If travelling from the south exit M8 at junction 14. If travelling from the north exit at junction 13 and follow signs for Lynch camp.

Note the event is just off the M8 for all Leinster Orienteers who want to fit in some orienteering before Christmas

On the day there will be an Irish Junior Squad fundraiser - Hot drinks! mincepies,flapjacks, brownies etc. Bring a few bob and enjoy the Christmas spirit.

There will be ample car parking available.

Sportident timing will be used.

There is a plan to have a camera with a live feed from a control back to the registration - we can see how you are doing.

Munster league Prize giving will take place for prize winners immediately after the event.

Prizes for 1,2,3 in brown,blue,green and light-green courses.

Come along bring the family and make a day of it.

Brown:- Several orienteers have done 4 or more events.

Looking at those who can win with a good run in Kilworth.

Josh just needs to finish in Kilworth to win but rumour has it that he will be running a cross

country race that day opening the door to defending Champion Brian Corbett.

Green:- The teachers dominate this course, with Liam O'Brien leading from Willie Fitzgerald, Rory Costello and Jim Callanan

Nora Perkins is the leading lady on this course

On Light Green:- 1st place Bernard Creedon and Sean Mulqueen in 2nd place have a clear lead with Liam Cotter just ahead of

Tim O'Sullivan in 3rd place. Ciara Fitzgerald is first female. (Note as there was no Light-Green is rosskerrig, Green scores in

that event count in Light-Green.
