Training Day #1: Tir na Spideoige, Inchigeela Saturday 2nd March

Post date: Feb 24, 2019 9:33:39 PM

For anybody looking to progress or, improve their open-mountain orienteering, CorkO will be hosting two technical training days in March. This is especially relevant for those who hope to attend the upcoming Irish Orienteering Championships! The training days are scheduled for the following dates:Training Day #1: Saturday 2nd March

Training Day #2: Saturday 30th March

The two technical training events will take place at Tir na Spideoige near Inchigeela. This is an excellent technical area and was last used for Day 3 of the 2018 Shamrock O-Ringen.

The training will help people get to grips with contours which will be a benefit to their orienteering in general and especially for the Irish championships and provincial championships. The training will be tailored for the participants and is sure to be fun for all.

The training will start at 11am and will last 60-90 minutes.

Those travelling from Cork can meet at Lee Valley Clothing in Inchigeelagh at 10:45am and drive up to the parking location (same as that used for last year's Shamrock) from there.
