COURSE INFO

Yellow 1.9km 10 controls (20m of climb), not all the route is on paths.

Orange 3.5km 16 controls (50m of climbing).

Green 5.4km 12 controls (70m of climbing).

Blue 6.9km 18 controls (85m of climbing).

Yellow and Orange map scale is 1:7,500 (1cm on the map is 75m on the ground).

Blue and Green map scale is 1:10,000 (1cm on the map is 100m on the ground).

Due to the nature of the wood and paths the yellow course is not buggy friendly unfortunately and includes a 1m high earth wall which must be crossed and some open forest (follow the tapes).

Full leg cover is advised for the Orange, Green and Blue courses.

Yellow is suitable for beginners, though some basic map reading skills will be needed, and not every control is on a path; some simple route choices and map reading will be required.

Orange is longer, but like an easier summer league course. Most controls are on or near prominent features. If you have managed a long course on the summer league, you will manage this, and may perhaps find it easy.

Both Green and Blue will be technically and physically challenging, with rough terrain underfoot and complex navigation required. However none of the controls are really hidden, so once you get to the right place they should be obvious. If you have managed a long course on the summer league and you want to challenge yourself try Green or Blue.
