Hi All,There is one final orienteering date for your 2016 orienteering diary and that is our Christmas Fun Event on Tuesday December 27th in the Regional Park Ballincollig.

This event will be suitable for all the family so please encourage your family and friends to join us on our final outdoor adventure of the year.

EVENT FORMAT

There will be one course on the day which is suitable for buggies. Competitors have to visit as many of the 24 controls in any order they like within the time limit allowed.

To further test you mental agility there will be a Christmas picture at every control and competitors will have to remember which control each picture was at. When they come to the finish, they will then be given a sheet of paper where they will write down the control number relating to each Christmas picture, your time will be recorded when you hand this sheet in.

1 point for every correct answer and you will be deducted 1 point for every minute over the 45 minutes allotted.

Don't forget your watch to avoid losing any hard earned points! A clear head and some strategic planning might also be useful on the day to determine how to get the maximum points on offer.
