Autumn League #3 Cork Showground, Curraheen Tuesday September 9th

The third event in our Autumn league will take place on Tuesday September 10th at the Cork Showgrounds in Curraheen.

COURSE INFO

For both courses the regular orienteering course will be followed by a grid course. On completion of the regular orienteering course, competitors will have up to one minute to look at the grid course before they start.

A practice run on an easier grid course can be done before starting the regular course if desired.

Map Scale 1:5000m. Negligible climb.

Short Course

2.2km plus an easy grid (maze). Buggy friendly run through pasture land.

Long Course

3.5km course plus a challenging grid (maze) #

The online entry will close 6pm on Sunday September 7th

Why not take the hassle out of registration on the day and enter online entry in advance.

STARTS

Start anytime from 5:30pm to 6:45pm. Courses close at 7:30pm.

DIRECTIONS

Take Junction 2 off the N40. Once off the N40 follow signs for Curraheen Village – do not take the road to the greyhound stadium. Turn off the roundabout near Marymount Hospice for Curraheen. After 800m the orienteering event will be signposted on the right before you enter Curraheen village.

Please exercise due care approaching and entering the grounds from the city side. This narrow road can be very busy at rush hour.
