2025 Inter Club Challenge

Rossbeigh Sand Dunes, Kerry Sunday June 15th

The 2025 Inter Club Challenge, between KerryO and CorkO will take place at Rossbeigh Sand Dunes, Kerry on Sunday June 15th.

The Rossbeigh map has been upgraded and extended by Tony Cotter for the event so it is sure to present some challenging orienteering for all who journey west.

INTER CLUB CHALLENGE

Points will be awarded to individual CorkO and KerryO participants based on their relative positions on the respective courses. The club points across all the courses will be accumulated to determine the winning club. The 2025 Inter Club Champions will be crowned at Summer Barbeque after the competition. It promises to be a very social gathering. 

As the reigning Inter Club champions CorkO needs you, as we take on the might of the Kingdom and try to retain the Inter Club Shield.

Brown 8.5km, 21 controls

Blue 7.2km, 7 controls

Green 5.2km, 14 controls

Light Green 4.0km, 13 controls

Red 3.4km, 12 controls

Orange 2.4km, 9 controls

Start anytime from 11:15am to 12:45pm

SUMMER BARBEQUE

Following the event KerryO will host the summer barbeque. Gas BBQ Stoves and utensils will be available for the use by club members from both clubs to cook up their own provisions.

So everyone attending is encouraged to bring burgers; chicken; steaks or whatever they fancy for the social get-together.

Marquee; tables and benches will also be provided.

Individuals should bring their own refreshments, although the usual flasks for tea and coffee with light snacks will be provided.
