Summer League #6 Ballyannon Wood, Midleton Tuesday June 24th

The sixth event in the CorkO Summer League will take place at Ballyannon Wood in Midleton on Tuesday June 24th.

Ballyannon Wood is a beautiful mature mixed woodland located at the end of Dyers Road in Midleton on the Owenacurra Estuary. It is a relatively small wood with a very extensive network of paths. The similarity between a number of these paths often causes confusion and one junction in the centre of the wood has six such paths off it. It might be beneficial to have a compass on hand to aid navigation and relocation!

COURSE INFO

Long Course: 4.3km, 24 controls

Short Course: 2.5km, 14 controls

START TIMES

Competitors can start any time between 5.30pm and 6:45pm.

The start will be a 5 minute walk from parking/registration.

DIRECTIONS

IMPORTANT

The old access route by the Gaelscoil is now a Green/walkway. There is strictly no parking on the green/walkway. Parking will be available near the event registration. In a local estate. Please park responsibly.

From Cork take the first exit off the N25 and stay on the road towards Midleton Town Centre.

The event will be signposted from the top of Dwyer's Road (L3620) next to the Midleton Park Hotel.

Registration/Download will be near the parking area, near the green/walkway. There will be a 500m walk to the start/finish area at the entrance to the woods.
