The first event in the 2026 Southwest League will take place on Sunday March 8th at BallyDavid/Ballydrehid, Cahir, Co. Tipperary.
TERRAIN DESCRIPTION
The map covers an extensive area of nice forest and open ground. The area was completely remapped in 2024, The map is at a scale 1:10,000 with 5m contours from Lidar, thanks to the IOA. The terrain is generally fast with the bracken low and courses will make for interesting route choice decisions.

DIRECTIONS
The assembly/registration is located at "Scarragh Wood" on google maps.
The area is reached through Cahir along the M7 motorway (50 mins from Dunkettle and 90 mins from the Red Cow roundabouts).
The forest is accessible from Cahir Town via the Mountain Road (turn at Aldi) which underpasses the motorway. The area is popular with local walkers and bikers.
We would encourage car pooling if you can. Please follow parking instructions on the day to make room for all.
