It's been some time but the good news is we are back and looking forward to seeing you all again. So it is now time to root out your o-shoes and dust off your SI card and get ready for some wood and parkland adventures.
It's that time of year again when the evenings are long and bright and there's now more time to play outdoors and no better way to while away an evening that at a CorkO Summer Orienteering League event. We are back and will be coming to a forest or park near you real soon.
So why not get outdoors and join us for some evening orienteering. This year's summer evening league will be kicking off on TUESDAY MAY 31ST at CURRABINNY WOOD and the league will run every Tuesday until July 12th. Each week we will be orienteering in a different forest or park in and around Cork city and county.
COURSES

Our summer league events are fun, suitable for all the family, young and old, and irrespective of fitness levels. As usual there will be two courses on offer each evening.
1. Short (1.5km to 2.5km) which is aimed at families, juniors and beginners.
2. Long (3.5km to 4.5km)
START TIME

You can start anytime between 5:30pm and 6:45pm at each event.
Control collection will commence at 7:30pm
ENTRY FEES

Entry fees are €5 Juniors/Students/Seniors, €7 Adult and €15 Family.
Participants can entry online at Orienteering Ireland. The online entry will close 9pm the evening before each event
Online entry is encouraged. Entry on the day/at the event is also accepted.
So if your looking for a healthy, fun, outdoor activity to fill the long summer evenings then why not encourage your family, friends or colleagues to take part and enjoy a fun evening in the woods. Beginners and families are always welcome, and we will have someone on hand at each event to show you the ropes. Furthermore, if anyone would like some flyers or a poster to help promote the league in your workplace please let me know and I'll get some to you.

SL#2: June 7th Fota House and Gardens, Fota
SL#3: June 14th Ballyannon Wood, Midleton
SL#4: June 21st Regional Park Ballincollig
SL#5: June 28th Tramore Valley Park, Cork City
SL#6: July 5th James Fort, Kinsale
SL#7: July 12th Doneraile Park, Doneraile
Remember you need to attend 5 events to complete the league and receive a league finisher memento.
