Munster League #4: Coumshingaun, Waterford SUNDAY MARCH 26TH Event Info

Post date: Mar 24, 2017 1:23:19 PM

The fourth event in the 2017 Munster League will take place this Sunday March 26th at Coumshingaun in the Comeragh Mountains in Co. Waterford.

WATO are staging the event and this area was last used for the Middle distance race during the 2016 Irish Orienteering Championships.

This event is an excellent opportunity for those planning to travel to the 2017 Irish Championships in Oughterard to hone their orienteering skills on open terrain ahead of these championships.

The event will start at Kilclooney carpark (the same as Middle distance IOC) S 340 102

A detailed map is available at the following link:

Start anytime between 11 and 1.

Courses will close at 2.30

We haven't got a full list of the course details at present but are assured that the full range of colour coded courses will be offered on the day.

Map scale will be 1:7,500 due to level of detail on map and thus may be shorter than usual.

The maps will be printed on paper with waterproof bags provided.

Hope you can support the Munster League in Waterford this Sunday and test your skills on this challenging terrain.
