The 3rd event in the Cork Orienteering Club Summer League will take place in Doneraile Park, next Tuesday May 27th. We hope you will come along and take advantage of the opportunity to experience this magnificent setting and sample the wonderful parkland terrain and hopefully see some of it's permanent residents. It is sure to be a fun evening and with numerous picnic tables and a large children's playground it caters well for families and offers plenty of post run entertainment.
The Long Course will cover a distance of 5.5km and
The Short Course 2.2km and is buggy friendly.
There is no appreciable climb on either course.
Start times should be available from the earlier time of 5:00pm and last start will be strictly 7:00pm. The park gate will be locked at 8:00pm. It is intended to collect the further controls at 7:15pm with all courses closing at 7:30pm to allow the organizers time to wrap up and get out before they are locked in!
Late arrivals should consider parking (legally!) outside the park gates. The estimated leading times on the Long Course will be in the 25 to 30 minute region. So people expecting to complete their course in more than 40 mins should have started by 6:45pm at the latest.
